Hephaestus (Vulcan)
God of fire, blacksmiths, stonemasons, technology, and volcanoes
Hephaestus is a master weapons maker, inventor, sculptor and artisan. Among his creations are the chains of Prometheus, armor of Achilles and Talos the artificial man. Hephaestus has extra-ordinary deductive abilities enabling him to realize how any object works after studying it and then being able to disassemble and assemble the object at will.
He was described as a huge lump of man with his shoulders at different heights and a huge, bulging, misshapen head and his leg in a steel brace, in short cripple and not good looking, such is the motto,
“If the woman doesn’t find you handsome, at least they should find you handy”
He is also muscular from working in his forges.
Of all the Gods and Goddesses Hephaestus was the most unique of them all aside from his appearance, he is the one who make all the weapons of the Gods and also the place of Gods. Even though he was not that attractive and good looking compared to other goods for me he is still the best he made plenty of amazing things and by his works he had manage to return in Olympus. But despite of all the bad things that had happened to him he is still a friendly and peaceful God.
He loves to make things, assemble and make innovations in it at its best, that’s his characteristics that made us the same, like him I love to assemble and make new things it makes me feel good every time I finish my work and see the result, but not as good as Hephaestus works of course. He is also a private person and tries to stay in a shadow, like me I feel comfortable if I’m alone in my room it feels safe there others would say that I’m an antisocial kind of person but I don’t mind them like what Hephaestus do every time he hears bad things about him. Hephaestus was a genius in making things and inventing new ones, I really admire his skills and talent I wish I can acquire that someday.
I believe that we don’t need to be Gods to fulfill our goals in life or to know our self-more, if we just fallow what are heart says and doing right things in life plus the guidance from our God we can do it too.
